How to Access and Review Submitted Work on CrewMachine

Understanding All the Different Statuses

Before accessing and reviewing the submitted and approved work on CrewMachine, ensure that you have an account on CrewMachine-

Then, follow these simple steps to access and review the submitted and approved work on CrewMachine.

1. Login to your CrewMachine account using the correct login details.

2. This will open the Dashboard page.

3. Click on Content, located on the far right top corner of the page.

4. Select the appropriate project and role from the options given in the Project and Role boxes located towards the top of the page. For example, choose the project ‘Trial Project’ and the role ‘Writer’.

There are two methods to filter out specific items from the list of articles.

Method 1-

A. Click on Filter, located towards the top of the page and just below the Project box. By default, this search is set to display the items that are in the queue; i.e. the items that are assigned, reopened or saved in the queue.

B. To filter the submitted items, click on Filter and choose Submitted from the options listed in the drop-down menu that opens.

Method 2-

A. Click on Edit, located in the same line as the Filter box.

B. Use the filter options given under Status in the Items Matching box to display the required search items. For example, choose Writer Status from the options listed in the Status box.

C. Then, choose Equals from the box next to it, and a relevant filter option (such as Assigned, Submitted, Returned, Approved or Reopened) from the third box. For instance, choose Submitted in the third box to display the articles submitted by the Writer.

Both of these methods change the Writer Status to Submitted and the ‘Items’ grid will now display the items submitted by the Writer.

6. When the Writer submits the article, the Writer Status, displayed next to the Filter box, changes to ‘Writer Status Equals to Submitted’.

7. When the article goes to the Editor, the item status, as displayed in the ‘Items’ grid, changes to ‘In Editing’.

8. Then, when the Editor submits the article, it goes for quality assurance and the item status, as displayed in the ‘Items’ grid, changes to ‘In QA’.

9. When the item is approved after quality assurance by the QA, the item status, as displayed in the ‘Items’ grid, changes to ‘Completed’.

14. Finally, use the ‘All’ option in the Filter box to filter out and display all the articles currently existing on your desk or queue.

Other statuses you may see: 

Approved – Means the client has approved the item 

In Publishing – Means the client is preparing the item for publishing to their website

Published – Means the items is published on the client’s website

Closed – Means the item has been closed. Reasons could be the client no longer sells the item, the content is duplicated etc.
