What is eZu

eZu is your crowd connection, a resource for all CrewMachine freelancers. It will include a monthly newsletter filled with tips, articles, freelancer testimonials and fun. Future plans for eZu include a blog where you will be able to read articles related to content creation, page review, research and more. It will also include CrewMachine tips, work from home tips, and eventually, short quizzes.

In this issue we talk about repetition, why it’s bad and how to avoid it. We also discuss the importance of keeping your profile updated and how to update it and we discuss the productivity method time blocking and its alternatives.

Education

  • Grammar Tip – Do you ever find yourself using the same words or phrases in a piece? Sometimes we repeat ourselves without even realizing it. But, repetition in writing is not always good. Here’s why, and a few tips on how to avoid it.
  • CrewMachine Tip – We know there’s not much work at the moment, and we are working diligently to get everyone working again as quickly as possible. However, it’s much easier for us to match you with a suitable project if your profile is up to date. Updating your profile is quick and easy, and you can find out exactly how to do it here
  • Useful Tools – No matter how skilled of a researcher, writer or editor you are, using tools like a grammar checker, passive voice checker, thesaurus and dictionary is always a good idea. So, we’ve put together a list of useful tools that will help you improve your skills. This list is a living document and will grow as we find more resources, so bookmark it and check it often. If you have a favorite tool that you use, send us an email and let us know so we can add it to the list.
  • Work from Home Tip – If you find yourself getting overwhelmed with too many tasks or too many projects, give the time blocking method a try – or one of its many alternatives. Find out more here

Process of the Month – Buying Guides

  • A buying guide is a long form article that helps readers make an informed purchasing decision. It provides considerations for a specific type of product, such as size, functionality, required maintenance and different features that might be available depending on the individual product or line of products. And of course, a buying guide should be optimized for SEO purposes. Find out more here
